Alf Inge Håland is a retired Norwegian footballer who played primarily as a defender. He was born on November 23, 1972, in Stavanger, Norway. Håland began his professional career with the Norwegian club Bryne FK before moving to English club Nottingham Forest in 1993.

Håland subsequently played for Leeds United, Manchester City, and Norwich City in the English Premier League. He is perhaps best known for an infamous incident in which he was on the receiving end of a brutal tackle from Manchester United's Roy Keane in a game between Manchester City and Manchester United in 2001. The tackle resulted in a serious knee injury for Håland, and it effectively ended his career.

After retiring from professional football, Håland has worked as a football manager and youth coach in Norway. He is also the father of Erling Haaland, who has emerged as one of the top young talents in world football while playing for Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
